Ty + Madison • Intimate Backyard Wedding • Nashville, TN

We met Ty & Madison at a taproom & instantly fell in love with their fun personalities and love for each other. Their wedding day was slated for May of 2020. Around the beginning of March, well, we all know what happened. The first couple weeks were filled with confusion and saying things like, “Surely it’ll be over in a couple weeks… a month, tops.”

Insert a text from Madison: “So… are you guys free in 2 weeks? We’re just going to go ahead and do the dang thing.” Response: YEP!

Their families gathered in his sister’s backyard for the most intimate ceremony we’d ever been a part of. Stripped of all the fluff, the stress, and the large audiences usually associated with a wedding day, Ty & Madison were fully able to stay present as they promised their lives to each other. There was the usual cake cutting and first dance but even these events seemed to hold a little more weight than usual.

We so admired Ty & Madison’s resilience throughout the day as we knew how heartbreaking and tough the decision was to abandon and postpone parts of the plans they’d been making for months. We were so honored to get to witness their Plan B!
