There’s a repeating question one of us has asked the other right before the best decisions of our life have been made:
“Are we really doing this?!”
Like in 2017 when put all of our belongings in storage and traveled the country for 7 months out of the back of our Honda CRV. Thirty-five states and eighteen national parks later, we realized that we had been looking for something more in our lives. Something to pursue with everything we had that would make an impact and bring us joy.
Or before that, in 2014, when we sat in a little cafe in East Nashville & decided to go into business together before we were even married. Honestly, the question above felt more like a proposal than Ray’s actual proposal! We were looking for something more then, too – A new way to photograph weddings that matched our passion for real emotion & authenticity. A way to bring joy & intentionality into people’s lives and serve them wholeheartedly with our gifts.
Fast Facts:
+ Our first date included crafting pinhole cameras, Sonic, and looking through travel photos… pretty on par with our current life.
+ We host family & friends as often as possible for homemade pasta dishes and game nights.
+ Somewhere along the way, Ray was able to pass his lifelong love of skiing onto Alyssa. Now, we both can’t imagine winter without it!
+ You can catch us often watching re-runs of The Great British Baking Show – especially during the holidays!
+ Traveling has our hearts, but it’s also pretty hard to beat a warm evening on our porch in Nashville with tacos & wine.

Six foot four inches of a whole lot of love – Ray has way of making people feel special the moment he meets them. A Pennsylvania native, he absolutely thrives in the mountains and cold weather and has at the top of his bucket list to one day spend the majority of a winter season’s days skiing. He’s never without a camera in hand or a kind word to say about somebody. Curiosity and intentionality carry him through life and inspire a new hobby for him pretty much every month!

Alyssa is the heart and soul of our business and our life. She spends her days dreaming big + making plans for today, tomorrow, next month, and ten years from now. Highly introverted, you’ll find her happiest in sweatpants reading one of her books of the month with a journal close by. She pursues an inspiring, unconventional life with everything she has and would love to live in the woods with Ray & three cats someday. Top of her bucket list: Buying & renovating a cargo van.

Somewhere along our journey, travel went from “Yeah, sounds fun.” to… “Oh, this is what absolutely fills our hearts and souls!” There’s nothing quite like driving an open highway out west, stepping off the subway in a bustling city, or sitting on the edge of the most vast landscape you can possibly imagine. Some of our favorite places include: New York City, Colorado, Acadia National Park, The Grand Canyon, San Francisco, Big Bend National Park, Big Sur…. We could go on and on…
