Nick + Abby • Intimate In-Home Session • Nashville, TN

“Intimate” seems to be the word to describe photoshoots in 2020. As photographers, we are privy to so many moments that others are not - something we will forever be astounded by and grateful for. This year has added another level to the intimacy – eliminating even more people from being around or in the room, and while there’s never really a large audience for engagement photos, this session reminded us of how many of these precious moments had been stolen from us. What a joy it was to be in a room with humans in love again!

And what a room to be in! Nick and Abby’s living room, filled with mid-century modern furniture and quirky art, flanked by Majesty Palms was the perfect setting for their totally laid back engagement session. French press coffee, a record player, chips and queso, and a private rehearsal of their first dance in the living room were all involved in the making of these magical images!

From Nick + Abby:

“Our photos are BEAUTIFUL. They are filled with character and artistry that makes them feel so different than your typical '“portraits” and it’s sooo exactly what I was dreaming of. Ray & Alyssa somehow made my shy and awkward faces look decent and captured our playfulness and adoration of one another! They are excellent at what they do. What a gift!”
