It’s no secret that New York is our favorite city in the world, so we were absolutely thrilled when our annual trip to the city lined up perfectly for an engagement session with Ty & Da. They requested the streets of Brooklyn and Prospect Park, so naturally, our thrill level was through the roof!

We’ve been taking trips to New York since the week we started dating back in 2011, and Ray has been trying to convince me to move there ever since. Each trip we collect new inspiration, discover a new favorite place to eat, and happen upon a darling new street or shop. We gain a little more subway knowledge and can answer a little bit better, “Where the heck are we?” I hope we’ll take these cherished trips for the rest of our lives!

But back to Ty & Da… We spent this colder day in November in and out of coffee shops down Flatbush Avenue before heading to the beautifully wild & enchanting Prospect Park. This park is cousin (or maybe sibling?) to the famous Central Park, having been conceptualized by the same designer. But while Central Park is perfectly manicured and well kept, Prospect Park grows wild and free. Spend five minutes in this park, and you’re taken right out of the city, almost forgetting it exists except for a few skyscraper tops you can see over the tree line. We’d never been to the park in the fall before, and it did not disappoint. It was an absolute dream – filled with brilliant reds & golds!

Ty & Da’s casual style totally made this shoot, and their sweetness towards each other on and off camera had us smiling BIG all day long!
