Before life on the road, there was a quiet apartment in which I dreamed up this shoot. It was actually born before we even started talking about spending months traveling. We chose a date for the shoot, which happened to be a couple weeks before the road trip started. It felt overwhelming. I was worried about my little dream - that it wouldn’t receive the attention it deserved from my overwhelmed self. I almost decided to cancel it. To just put it away and bring it back once we got home. But, I didn’t. Somehow, amidst the chaos of life at the time, I stumbled into a golden-lit field with a camera in my hand.

There’s something about creating that will calm all the crazy in my head and heart. It’s something larger than my stresses and worries - that comes along to quiet them when I decide to show up. It reminds me of what’s truly important and that the rest of it is simply noise.

That was this day, and I’m truly grateful for it. We’re so excited to share and showcase all the beautiful, talented souls that brought it to life!
